Man charged with arson after incident in Plymouth

Investigations continue after a suspected arson in Plymouth - which caused some people to have to leave their homes

Emergency services were called to a building on Mutley Plain Lane in the early hours of yesterday morning

A man - aged in his 40s - was arrested - and has now been charged.

In a statement, officers told us: "Ryan O’Shea, 40, of Edgar Terrace, Plymouth, has been charged with arson.

"They relate to an alleged incident in the Mutley Plain area of Plymouth on Monday 7 April.

"He has been bailed to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 24 April."
