Man arrested after paint thrown at Plymouth's Council House

Police are investigating after paint was thrown over Plymouth City Council's Chambers building.

It happened on Monday afternoon between 2.45pm and 3.30pm.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police has released this statement:

"Police are investigating a report of criminal damage in which paint was said to have been thrown over the council chambers building in Armada Way, Plymouth, between 2.45pm and 3.30pm on Monday 15 February.

"A 56-year-old man from the Plymouth area has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and released under investigation while enquiries continue."
