It's been nearly a month since a mudslide at one of Devon's most picturesque destinations, but bosses at the National Trust say they're planning on reopening the Devil's Cauldron walkway there today (24 March).

It's the deepest river gorge in the whole of the South West, and major storms which hit the region back in February forced the Trust looking after the site to shut it.

Work's been taking place to make the trail safe for visitors.

In a notice published on their website yesterday (March 23), bosses confirmed: "Sun 23 Mar - We plan to open the Devil’s Cauldron (trail, tea-room, second-hand bookshop and Lyd link path) Mon 24 Mar."
