Inquest to open into Plymouth shooting victims and gunman
The hearings will be formally opened at Derriford Business Park today (19 August)
A coroner is to open inquests into the deaths of Plymouth gunman Jake Davison and his five victims - a week after the shootings shocked the UK.
Ian Arrow, senior coroner for Plymouth, Torbay and south Devon, will formally open hearings on Thursday morning into the deaths of Maxine Davison, 51, Sophie Martyn, three, her father Lee Martyn, 43, Stephen Washington, 59, and Kate Shepherd, 66.
In a separate hearing in the afternoon, Mr Arrow will formally open the inquest into the death of apprentice crane operator Davison, 22.
A spokesman for the coroner said Mr Arrow would be receiving evidence from the senior officer leading the investigation for Devon and Cornwall Police.
The hearings will take place at the coroner's court at Derriford Business Park in Plymouth.
