A huge fire has broken out at a garden centre in Devon this morning. (1/11)

Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue were called in the early hours of this morning to reports of smoke and flames at the garden centre just off the A38 near Uffculme.

Appliances and an aerial platform were initially dispatched from Cullompton, Tiverton and Taunton fire stations.

On arrival, a large warehouse was well alight and an additional five appliances were dispatched to assist.

Due to smoke, residents in the local area are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.

The MP for Tiverton & Minehead has taken to X to send her thoughts to the owners of the Old Well Garden Centre:

Throughout the night crews have worked to control the fire with the incident now being scaled down as crews locate and dampen down hotspots.
