We're being urged to have our say on a first-of-its-kind attempt to make it easier to travel around the West Country.

From now until early February there's a consultation looking at what changes need to be made over the next 30 years.

Somerton and Frome MP Sarah Dyke says it's about time a plan was created, adding: "Cornwall, Devon and Somerset have very different needs to some of our more urban areas.

"This particular initiative is great because we join with Plymouth and Torbay to try and get those views from residents across those rural and urban areas.

"It shouldn't be about these top-down strategies that we see - this is a strategy that's really trying to get that grassroots consultation so that we are able to deliver a system of transport that really fits the communities it serves.

"It is looking at how we can start integrating different forms of transport, whether by car or public transport and walking and cycling - just making it easier for people to get around."
