One person has been fined, after over 30 people were found protesting against COVID regulations in Plymouth over the weekend.

Charles Cross Police say they took action against the individual who refused to comply with officers.

They say: "Whatever your thoughts on them, the regulations are law and are enforceable."

The local team put this messages out on Twitter following the event:

"Today had 30+ people attend Freedom Fields park in a planned protest against COVID regulations.

"Whatever your thoughts on them, the COVID Regulations are law and are enforceable. People can be arrested if necessary.

"That had to happen today as an individual from the group, who refused to comply with requests to engage with us so we could explain the rules the rest of us are following, and have done so since they came in.

"Fixed Penalty Notice issued. Consenting to laws is not an individual choice."
