Future of Torbay Council is up for discussion tonight
There's a free-to-attend discussion at the Princess Theatre

There's a public meeting on the future of Torbay Council tonight - as the Government calls for a shake up of councils across Devon.
The free event - at Torquay's Princess Theatre - will look at whether the authority should merge with others, or keep its current independence.
A council spokesperson said: "“Government has written to Torbay Council to formally invite the council to work with other council leaders in Devon to develop a proposal for local government reorganisation.
"Councils are requested to submit initial proposals, which are non-binding, to the Government by 21 March 2025 before waiting for feedback around creating a fuller business case by November 2025.
"Before the council feeds back its initial thoughts, we wanted to make sure our stakeholders had a chance to hear about what the Government has asked us to do.
"We would like to invite you to a public meeting on Tuesday 11 March 2025 starting at 6pm at The Princess Theatre, Torquay.
"At this free engagement event, Council Leader David Thomas and senior officers will help explain what Government has asked, some of Torbay's options, and the timelines that have been laid out. There will of course be a chance to ask questions.
The event is free and doors open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
