Fundraiser Max Woosey unveils 'last big hurrah' with people invited to join him
A special event's taking place next month as Devon's 'boy in the tent' brings his sleeping out to an end.
Devon's 'boy in the tent' is going to bow out of nights under canvas with a special event next month.
Max Woosey from Braunton has raised more than £700,000 sleeping in a tent his garden for the last three years.
He'll be bringing it to close with a special camp-out festival on the first of April at Broomhill Estate - with music, fireworks, movie memorabilia, and even axe-throwing.
All money raised will go to his usual charity, the North Devon Hospice.
Max said: "It was amazing that so many people got in touch from all over the UK wanting to mark my three-year anniversary of camping out, but I wanted to stay close to home and celebrate with friends and family nearby.
"Broomhill is a brilliant place for the celebration. We are going to camp out in the grounds amongst the sculptures and have a big party.
"There’s going to be bands and live music, fireworks and food, special guests, axe-throwing, and really cool movie memorabilia! It’s going to be epic! Thank you to Broomhill for doing this.’Â
