Across Devon and Somerset there's a plea this morning to be careful after heavy rain overnight - with many rural roads expected to have lots of flood water.

Devon and Cornwall's 4-by-4 response team is also on standby in case of any problems as a Met Office Yellow weather warning for rain remains in force until 7pm tonight.

Across Somerset there is two of the more serious flood warnings and 16 flood alerts - and a few alerts in Devon including near the Rivers Clyst and Culm and their tributaries near Cullumpton and River Teign area.

The Somerset Rivers Authority are holding a public meeting tonight at Moorland Village Hall from 7pm - one of the worst-hit flood areas in the floods of a decade ago, which they say will be to 'share information about actions we have been taking to reduce flood risk, our current operational response, and available support'.
