Fire crews in Mortehowe have put out a blaze in the boiler room of a swimming pool.

They say it happened accidentally.

We know that crews from Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Braunton and Woolacombe rushed to the incident at 5:23 this morning (7 July) - and it was out before 9am.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Crews attended a fire in the boiler room of a swimming pool, where all persons were accounted for.

"Crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 thermal imaging camera, and 1 gas monitor to deal with the incident.

"There was 20% smoke damage to the room, and 80% fire damage to equipment. Crews deemed the fire accidental ignition."
