Delivery firm Evri is opening a new site in Plymouth it says will create more than 50 new jobs.

The company, formerly known as Hermes, has put more than £1m into the new site on the Parkway Industrial Estate, which opens next month.

It says it's more than double the size of its existing depot at Bell Close, and will be able to handle almost half a million parcels a week

All existing permanent workers will TUPE across.

Ethan Treble-Westlake, Depot Manager at the new Plymouth site, said: “At our new depot we will be able to handle up to 480,000 parcels each week at peak times and provide a strong delivery service for the local community and a good working environment for our people.”
