Emergency services at scene of crash in Plymouth

People are being told to expect delays in the area

A busy road in Plymouth is closed following a crash this morning (19 February).

Emergency services are at the scene on Plymouth Road, just after the Marsh Mills Roundabout near Sainsburys.

The RTC involved a car and a lorry. There is currently an inbound lane three closure.

INRIX is reporting:

"One lane closed due to accident, a car and a lorry involved on A374 Plymouth. Road Southbound near Sainsburys. Traffic is coping well. Note change of location. Lane three (of three) is closed affecting traffic heading into Plymouth. Police have confirmed the accident is after the Marsh Mills Roundabout near Sainsburys."

Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for more information.

UPDATE AT 09.24AM:

The road has now been cleared. Inrix is reporting: "Reports of debris on road on A38 Eastbound at A374 Plymouth Road (Marsh Mills Roundabout). Traffic is coping well. Sensors are showing no impact on traffic but police are on the way to investigate".

Devon and Cornwall Police say the incident earlier was "damage only".
