Criminal investigation launched at Devon care home

Three members of staff have been arrested in connection with concerns over care

A criminal investigation's been launched after concerns over the care of residents at a care home in Exmouth.

Three members of staff have been arrested at the home in Brixington Lane - they've been released on police bail while inquiries continue.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police say, "Police are working closely with Devon County Council Adult Safeguarding Services and the Care Quality Commission to ensure that any inappropriate activity is dealt with promptly and appropriately and any lessons are learned for the future.

"Robust safeguarding arrangements are now in place. The safety and ongoing care of the residents remains the utmost priority consideration for all of the professional agencies involved."
