The coronation of King Charles III is going to be shown on big screens in Plymouth and Torbay.

With fifty days to go till the ceremony takes place at Westminster Abbey on May the 6th, we've been finding out more details of where people can see it locally.

Plymouth has been chosen as one of 30 locations around the country to get a screen, as part of a ÂŁ1m investment by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Exactly where it will be is yet to be confirmed, though.

Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer said, “The Coronation will be a magical moment that brings people together to celebrate the best of Britain over a special weekend in May.

“These big screens, in major locations in towns and cities in the four nations of the UK, will make it easier for everyone to take part and have a memorable experience to mark this exciting and historic event.”

Torbay Council has also revealed its plans, which will include a big screen on Torre Abbey Meadows in Torquay.

The day will end with a spectacular firework display from Paignton seafront.

The celebrations will continue on Torre Abbey Meadow on Sunday 7 May with an afternoon of live entertainment and performances from local acts, before the Royal Coronation Concert is broadcast on the big screen.
