Devon and Cornwall Police have hit back at claims online they're using drones to catch speeding drivers.

The video is doing the rounds on social media (see below).

Police say while they do use drones - as they can be useful to get a clearer view of a scene - they don't use them to catch speeding drivers.

They say the drones are not distracting to drivers - as they fly at about 400-ft in the air and while they are capable of tracking the speeds of vehicles drivers they are only used for road safety

The force have been using the drones for other purposes, including trying to prevent fly-tipping
