The Armed Forces Flag is being raised outside Plymouth's Guildhall this morning.

It's to mark the start of Armed Forces Week, which is a celebration of our military personnel, past and present.

A bugler from the Devonport Royal Navy Volunteer Band will play as the flag is raised in front of the assembled attendees at 10am.

A spokesperson for the event said: "The ceremony will be attended by a group of military and civic leaders, including the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Deputy Lord Mayor and representatives from the Royal Navy, Army and RAF.

Plymouth Armed Forces Day returns to the Hoe this month on Saturday 29 June and last year's flag raising can be seen here
