Brixham fish market could be enhanced
A vote tonight could see the Government asked for money
Last updated 14th Jun 2022
A fresh bid could be agreed tonight to try and transform parts of Brixham Fish Market - after the last one was rejected by Government.
If approved it would result in more space for landing catch, and more capacity in the port itself - which is already the UK's largest by 'value of catch'.
Steve Darling is the Lib Dem leader at Torbay Council, and says they hope to bid again for Government levelling up funds - following feedback from the previous bid.
