A motorcyclist is in hospital after a 'serious collision' with a car in Plymouth

Drivers are warn to avoid the Stoke area of the city

A biker has been taken to hospital after colliding with a car in Plymouth.

Police say it is suspected, the man in his 30's, may have broken his leg.

It happened in the Stoke area of the city at lunchtime.

The Elms and Osborne Road have been closed while emergency services attend the scene.

"Police are at the scene of a serious collision between a motorcyclist and a car in the Stoke area of Plymouth.

"The incident, which involved a black Mazda saloon, occurred at 1pm on The Elms, this afternoon, Monday 14 December.

"The Elms and Osborne Road have been closed while police carry out enquiries at the scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

"The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, has been taken to hospital via ambulance with a suspected broken leg.

"Police would like to hear from any witnesses of the collision or anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage which may have captured the incident or the driving of either vehicle prior to the collision.

"Anyone with information which could assist police enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 351, 14/12/20."
