Police appeal after serious sexual assault in Plymouth

Police want to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV after a serious sexual assault in Plymouth at the weekend.

It happened on Batter Street on The Barbican early on Sunday morning - the victim was a local woman in her twenties.

Detective Inspector Debbie Wyatt said: “We are appealing for witnesses and are also asking people to check CCTV and dashcam footage in the surrounding areas from between 00:40-2:30am on Sunday 14 November for anything that could assist us with our enquiries.

“The suspect is described as a white male, 35-45 years of age, around 6ft tall and of medium build. He had a shaved head or very short blonde hair and was wearing jeans.

“Specialist officers continue to support our victim, and it is vital that anyone with any information comes forward to speak to us.”
