Man taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries following crash in Mutley

A man has sustained serious injuries following a crash in Plymouth.

Police were called to Alexandra Road in Mutley last night (8 July).

The collision involved a car and pedestrian pushing a pedal cycle.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"At 2124hrs on the 8th July 2021 Police were notified of a Road Traffic Collision on the B3214 Alexandra Road, Mutley Plymouth.

"The collision consisted of a car and a male pedestrian pushing a pedal cycle. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result.

"Medical treatment was administered soon after the incident by a number of persons including members of the public and emergency service personnel.

"The pedestrian was conveyed to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth by ambulance."
