Women left with potentially life threatening injuries after head on crash in Burford

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Monday evening at 7:30pm on the A361.

A woman has suffered potentially life-changing injuries in a head on collision between two cars in Burford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision, which occurred on Monday evening on the A361 between Lechlade and Burford.

At approximately 7.30pm, two vehicles, a white Vauxhall Corsa and a white Renault Austral with a black roof, were involved in a head-on collision near to Little Faringdon.

The female driver of the Corsa sustained serious, potentially life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

The A361 was closed for several hours overnight while investigations commenced.

Investigating officer PC Harry Welch of the Joint Operations Road Policing Unit, said:

“This collision has occurred in the early evening on the A361.

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage that has captured it, or the moments leading up to it, to please contact Thames Valley Police."
