Woman charged over dangerous dog incident Banbury

The charges include possession of a fighting dog

A woman has been charged in connection with a dangerous dog incident near Banbury.

Thames Valley Police say 36 year old Eliza Roberts of of De La Warr Drive, Banbury, was charged with two counts each of:

• Possession of a fighting dog

• Allowing a fighting dog to be in public place without muzzle or lead

• Being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.

She was also charged with one count of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

The charges are in connection with an incident at the fields near St Peter’s Church, Church Lane, Hanwell, on the 26th of March.

Roberts has been released under investigation to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 5 June.
