A burst water main has forced a school to shut in Oxford, as images show plumes of water shooting out of the road.

Engineers responded to reports of the incident on Rymers Lane, in the early hours of this morning, which has required an emergency road closure to be put place.

Thames Water say their teams are on site to make the necessary repairs, and would like to assure customers that they are working to re-open the road as quickly and safely as possible.

We're told Customers water supply is not impacted.

Local school The Iffley Academy has had to close, but say they should hopefully be open again tomorrow (26th) as soon as Thames Water have confirmed the repairs have been completed.
