We're being warned of possible power cuts and delays to transport as Storm Bert hits Oxfordshire.

There's a yellow weather warning for rain today - as we've gone from snow to temperatures in the teens within the space of a week.

Our area was included within that warning area covering most of Saturday from 6am to midnight, issued on Friday November 22nd. Stronger winds are likely later in the day towards southern coasts, according to the Met Office.

Craig Snell is a Met Office forecaster and says things should calm down eventually on Sunday:

"It should start to clear in the second half of Sunday following a wet start. As we head into next week high pressure returns, however, which will settle the weather conditions down but bring temperatures back down to colder levels once again.

"Higher winds are most likely to the south of where we are in Oxfordshire as well, so be wary of strong gusts should you venture further afield.

"If you're planning to travel, please pack a raincoat and listen for the forecast which could be changeable, given what we know. Allow extra time for any journeys as well."
