Cambridge and Oxford have been named among the UK cities with the highest average rider ratings on Uber’s app, according to new figures.
Passengers in Cambridge achieved an average score of 4.89 out of five, placing them second in the nationwide rankings, while riders in Oxford share third place with Merseyside, both scoring an average of 4.88.

Uber noted the nationwide average rating was 4.84 and emphasised the role of mutual respect in maintaining positive rider-driver connections.
The company offered advice for passengers looking to boost their scores, recommending they avoid being disrespectful, arriving late, eating in the car, or changing their destination during a journey.
Andrew Brem, general manager for Uber UK, said: “Every day, thousands of incredible drivers go the extra mile to make trips safe, friendly and enjoyable.
“The Uber community is built on mutual respect, and we hope this serves as a reminder to keep those positive connections going.”
