Two riders suffer life threatening injuries in Oxfordshire crash

Two riders have been injured in a serious single vehicle collision in Steventon.

At approximately 5.20am yesterday morning Sunday 18th August, a red Honda motorcycle with two riders has left the road on The Green, near to Steventon Village Hall, before colliding with a tree and a lamppost.

The motorcyclist and passenger sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital, where they remain at this time.

The road was closed for some time, but has since re-opened.

Investigating officer PC Debbie Green of the Roads Policing Unit said:

“I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed this to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage that has captured the collision, or the moments leading up to the collision to contact us."
