Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Bicester

An 18 year old and a 30 year old from the town are in custody after the incident Sunday 29 December.

Following an investigation into a serious assault in Bicester, Thames Valley Police have arrested two men from the town.

An 18-year-old man from Bicester has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 30-year-old man from Bicester has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Officers say they both remain in custody at this time.

The arrest relates to an incident that occurred just after 5.05pm on Sunday 29 December in Bicester Shopping Park, Pioneer Way, near to the Pure Gym.

A man, who was stabbed at the scene, is in a serious but stable condition and remains in hospital.

Detective Inspector George Atkinson, from CID, said:

“We have made two arrests in connection with this incident but we continue to appeal for witnesses.

“We still believe that there is no wider risk to the local community but appreciate the concern that it may cause.
