Tribute released to second victim of fatal road traffic collision – East Hanney

Thames Valley Police can confirm a second victim of a road traffic collision on the A338 near East Hanney has sadly died.

Thomas Pritchard, aged 31, died on Wednesday 17 January having been injured after a collision on the A338 between East Hanney and Frilford at around 11.15am on Christmas Day 2023.

The other drive involved Jean Houston, aged 61, sadly died at the scene.

Thomas’ family has released the following tribute:

“Thomas ‘Tommy’ Pritchard was involved in a road traffic collision on Christmas Day 2023 and died in the John Radcliffe Hospital on Wednesday 17 January, a week before his 32nd birthday.

“Tommy attended Botley Primary School and Abingdon School before attending the University of Leeds.

“He was a keen sportsman and enjoyed rugby and cricket, both at university and locally in Oxford, he was also a keen golfer.

“Most recently Tommy became the landlord and head chef at The Fox Inn in Boars Hill.

“Tommy was the only son of Paul and Sarah Pritchard.”
