Serving Thames Valley Police officer charged with sex offence involving a child

The incident happened in Wallingford in Oxfordshire in December last year

A serving Thames Valley Police officer, stationed in Maidenhead, has been charged with a sex offence involving a child in Oxfordshire.

The force say on 23 October this year, PC Daniel Hunt, who is 32, was charged with one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

The offence occurred in Wallingford on 14 December 2023.

Hunt, who is stationed at Maidenhead Police Station, was arrested on 25 January this year and has been suspended from duty since that date.

He is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 29 November.
