It comes as National Highways has issued a warning for drivers.

They're telling people to not 'wing it' and plan your journey in advance.

Bosses said: "Heading to The Royal International Air Tattoo this week? Don’t wing it, plan your #RIAT25 journey with our plane and simple travel advice!

"With up to 200,000 visitors expected between Wednesday and next Monday, routes to Fairford via the A417, A419, M5 (J11A) and M4 (J15) will be busier as people make their way to the event.

"If you’re travelling via the A417, 40mph speed restrictions are in place at Crickley Hill along with a new contraflow traffic arrangement at the Cowley roundabout, so please plan ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time.

"Clear directional signage will be posted along all routes to the show. To avoid any turbulence on your journey please follow these signs and the instructions given by traffic marshals instead of your satnavs.

"Make sure you’ve also packed hats, sunglasses, water and plenty of sun cream!
