Thames Valley Police is making a renewed appeal for information about a rape in Minster Lovell, to mark its one-year anniversary.

Between 8.20pm and 10pm on Saturday 28th October last year, a man raped the victim, a woman in her thirties, by one of the ruined walls in the Minster Lovell Hall grounds.

While the offence was being committed, two or three white males, aged in their late teens to early twenties, approached the victim and the suspect, causing the suspect to stop, and he spoke briefly with them.

The victim and the suspect left the area together.

A man was arrested in connection with the incident at the time but has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Charlotte Norman said:

“Despite happening a year ago, we are still investigating this distressing rape as we are determined to get justice for the victim.

“We arrested a man at the time of the incident but he has been released under investigation.

“I am specifically trying to identify the two or three young males that interrupted the offender so if this was you or you know who they were, please come forward.

“I am appealing for anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward."
