Police appeal following assault on bus in Cowley

One of the passengers punched the other - who ran off shortly afterwards.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following an assault in Cowley.

On Thursday (25/7) at approximately 12.30pm on Cowley Road, an argument broke out on the number 10 bus between two male passengers and the driver, resulting in one of the passengers punching the other man. The victim then left the scene in the direction of Oxford City Centre.

Investigating officer PC Daniel Steere, based at Cowley police station, said: “We are appealing for witnesses following this assault, specifically for any information around the victim.

“If anybody has any images or footage from a video doorbell or CCTV cameras from the area, I would ask you to please check them and contact us if you have captured anything that may assist this investigation.

“Anyone with information can contact us by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240354415.
