Pensioner among three injured in Caterton Costa Coffee crash

Police are renewing their appal for witnesses after a Blue Ford crashed into Costa Coffee on Wednesday

Thames Valley Police is asking anyone who saw a crash at a Costa Coffee in Carterton to come forward, after three people were seriously hurt.

At around 2pm on Wednesday, 7 May, a Ford Kuga crashed into the Costa Coffee building on Burford Road.

A 64-year-old woman from Headington and a 75-year-old woman from Carterton both suffered serious injuries and are still in hospital. A 38-year-old man from Carterton was also seriously injured but has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made.

Detective Constable Darren Baker from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are appealing to witnesses who were in Costa Coffee at the time of the collision to please get in contact.

“We are also appealing to anyone who was travelling on Burford Road at this time and may have dash-cam footage to please get in touch.
