Oxford’s Metta Centre, which supports people struggling with trauma, has been given £20,000 by the county council.

The Metta Centre offers low-cost therapy for anxiety, depression and flashbacks

It plans to use the funding to test new treatments

Karen Stowe the clinical lead said:

"By healing the underlying trauma, we believe we can help many other problems affecting our society.

"There is a huge need for our service, we can only open our waiting list once or twice a year due to the overwhelming demand,"
