Police appeal for witnesses after threats with baseball bats and knives in Oxford

A man was threatened after a traffic incident on The Roundway

A man has been threatened by a group of males with baseball bats and knives in Oxford.

The incident occurred at around 1.15pm last Wednesday (26th November) on The Roundway, Risinghurst.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was helping with traffic management following a minor road traffic accident when a verbal altercation took place with the owner of a white estate taxi.

Shortly afterwards, a group of South Asian men emerged from a nearby shop, threatening the victim with weapons. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.

Investigating officer PC Joseph Fraser said: “I am appealing for anybody who witnessed this incident, or who may have dash-cam footage that has captured the incident, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have information about a white estate taxi that was at the scene during the incident."
