Oxford man charged with attempted murder following assault

Man remains in hospital after suffering serious injuries

A 27-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.

Nelson Williams, of Leopold Street, Oxford, is also facing charges of affray and possession of a knife in a public place.

The charges are linked to an alleged assault inside a building in St Aldates Courtyard last Wednesday (26th November), where a man in his twenties was seriously injured.

The victim remains in hospital.

Williams has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today (28th November).
