A man jailed for attempted murder is unlawfully at large after failing to return to HMP Springhill, near Grendon Underwood.

Osei Kuffour, 36, did not come back to the open prison at around 7pm on Sunday (19th October), after his licence was revoked by the governor. Police say he now has no authority to be in the community.

Thames Valley Police has launched an urgent appeal to find Kuffour, who was serving a 25-year jail sentence.

Kuffour is described as around 5ft 5ins tall, of stocky build, and was last seen wearing dark tracksuit bottoms or jeans and a black jacket.

He is known to frequent the Ilford area of London.

Detective Inspector Mark Hill said: “We are appealing for the help of the public to trace Osei Kuffour, who is unlawfully at large after not returning HMP Springhill.

If you see Kuffour, do not approach him and call 999 instead.

Police continue enquiries to locate Kuffour and are urging anyone who may have seen him or knows where he may be to get in touch.
