Motorcyclist dies in crash near Wantage
It happened last night on the Reading Road
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A417 Reading Road, between West Hendred and Ardington, near Wantage.
At around 10pm yesterday (Thursday 26/6), there was a collision between a Honda motorcycle and a Volkswagen Golf.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his forties from Didcot, was given emergency medical treatment, but died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The driver of the car was not injured.
No arrests have been made.
Investigating officer PC Naomi Padgett of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are investigating this incident in which a motorcyclist has died.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
