Man in 90s has mobility scooter stolen in Oxford

The suspects are believed to be in their late teens

A man in his nineties has had his mobility scooter stolen on Banbury High Street.

The incident happened outside Orinoco on Wednesday afternoon (1st October), when three men took the dark grey and blue scooter, which had a rain coat attached.

The suspects are thought to be in their late teens.

A Thames Valley police spokesperson said, "Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a theft in Banbury.

"Between 1.30pm and 1.45pm, outside Orinoco on the Banbury High Street on Wednesday (1/10), a group of three men stole a dark grey and blue Rascal 388XL mobility scooter which had a rain coat attached from the victim, a man in his nineties.

"The offenders are described as three white men in their late teens."

An investigation is underway, and anyone with information is being urged to get in touch with police quoting reference number 43250501114.
