A man from Garsington has been convicted of manslaughter following an incident last year where a man in his seventies died.

Daniel Gonzalez, who's 40-years-old, pleaded guilty to manslaughter at Oxford Crown Court on 9th June.

A Thames Vally police spokesperson said "The charge relates to an incident on Oxford Road on 15 December last year, in which a man in his seventies sadly died.

"Gonzalez was originally charged with one count each of murder and manslaughter.

"Following a review of the case, the Crown Prosecution Service, in liaison with us, made the decision to offer no evidence in relation to the murder charge from the indictment.

"Gonzalez then pleaded guilty to manslaughter."

He's set to be sentenced on Friday (13th June)
