Man seriously injured in assault in St Aldates

Officers are currently at the scene of an assault in St Aldates.
The victim, a man in his twenties, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.
A 27-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
Members of the public will notice an increased police presence while we carry out our investigation.
Officers say they do not believe there is any wider risk to the public, and are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.
