Man seriously injured after firework explodes in Headlington

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a firework exploded.

Thames Valley Police say the firework was "ignited and exploded whilst still in possession" during the incident on Sunday (May 11) on London Road in Headington.

A spokesperson for the police said: “We know there was some concern in the community, but no criminality has been identified, and the incident has been resolved.”
