Man jailed for sexually assaulting Bicester girl over 17 year period

A man has been jailed for nineteen and a half years after admitting to eight counts of rape, one count of indecency with a child and one count of indecent assault against a girl in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Stephen Berry, who's 65-years-old, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday (3rd June).
That's following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said that other offences against two other children would lie on file.
Investigating officer, Detective Samantha Hunter said: “These horrific offences were carried out over a seventeen year period.
“In 2023 the offences were reported to Thames Valley Police and a thorough investigation was carried out.
“This case demonstrates that we will investigate all crimes, no matter the passage of time.
