Man arrested over firearms incidents in Oxford

It follows shots being fired earlier this month

Thames Valley Police officers investigating firearms incidents in Oxford have made an arrest.

A 23-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He remains in custody currently (Friday August 23rd).

The arrest relates to incidents between 4.30pm on 11 August and 1.30am on 12 August in Weymann Terrace and Warren Crescent in Headington.

Investigating officer DI Krista Thompson said: “We still believe these firearms incidents to be connected and targeted, with no threat to the wider public.

“I understand that this may be alarming but fortunately these incidents are extremely rare.
