Serious crash on M40 near Banbury leaves two men in hospital with serious injuries

Two men are seriously injured after their car rolled down an embankment on M40 near Banbury

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a single-vehicle collision on the northbound M40 between junctions 10 and 11 just before 6am on Saturday 17 May.

A black Ford C-Max MPV struck the nearside crash barrier before leaving the carriageway and rolling down an embankment. Both the driver and passenger, men in their late twenties, were taken to hospital where they remain with serious injuries.

PC Steve Lane from the Roads Policing Unit said: “This was a single vehicle collision, and I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this to please get in touch with us. I’d be particularly keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the collision itself, or the moments leading up to it, to make contact.”
