Investigations ongoing into the major fire at Bicester Motion

Today marks six months since the tragic and fatal fire at Bicester Motion...

The tragedy took the lives of Firefighters: Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler, as well as father of two Dave Chester.

Police say inquiries are still ongoing but it's not being treated as a criminal investigation - and we're still yet to find out the cause of the fire.

The town's MP, Calum Miller hopes the inquiries will mean lessons are learned...

The role of the inquiry is to understand and make sure that lessons are taken on board to make sure firefighters of the future are even better protected.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “We are conducting a thorough investigation, alongside the Health and Safety Executive, into the circumstances that led to the tragic deaths and serious injuries at Bicester Motion in May, exactly six months ago on Saturday.

“We and HSE remain committed to meticulously gathering and reviewing all available evidence to reassure the coroner, the injured parties and the families of those who sadly lost their lives, that all legal and procedural matters have been considered in respect of any coronial or criminal processes.”
