Last week Oxford United announced the formation of Proud Yellows, the club’s first official LGBTQ+ Supporters Group.

Proud Yellows is not only a campaign for positive change within football but it also offers a social environment for the community.

The club say that they recognise the importance of inclusivity and the role they can play in supporting the LGBTQ+ community. They want all club supporters to feel welcome to attend their matches, regardless of their gender, race, religion or sexual identification.

Oxford United’s CEO, Tim Williams, said: “We want this club to offer an inclusive environment so that everyone feels welcome, and will work closely with Proud Yellows to ensure the experience we deliver matches that ambition.”
