Fire service rescues man trapped in stranded car
The vehicle was trapped in flood water
Fire crews rescued a man who was trapped in a car stranded in flood water this morning.
Shortly after 6.30 am, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the stranded vehicle in the Marsh Gibbon area. Crews from Bicester Fire Station, BFRS Buckinghamshire Fire Station and Kidlington Fire Station all attended the incident.
Fire fighters wearing dry suits were able to rescue the man from the car, as well as his belongings.
The fire service are warning drivers to take care when driving, especially in rural areas where flooding is expected. They advise that if you are unsure if your vehicle cannot make it through water, do not proceed.
