Driver charged over fatal crash which killed three Oxfordshire teenagers

A 19 year old from Oxfordshire has been charged in connection with a fatal crash which killed three teenagers.
The crash happened in Marcham last June.
Thames Valley Police say following an investigation by their Serious Collision Investigation Unit, a man has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision in Marcham in which the three Oxfordshire teenagers tragically died.
Thomas Johnson, aged 19, of Stainswick Lane, Shrivenham, has been charged with three counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
The charges are in connection with a fatal collision on the A415 in Marcham on 20 June 2023.
Ethan Goddard and Daniel Hancock who were both 18-years-old, and Elliot Pullen, who was aged 17, tragically died in the collision.
Johnson who was 18-year-old at the time of the crash, suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision which happened at 12.10am. He is thought to have only left hospital last December.
At the time of the crash tributes were paid to the three teenagers killed.
Elliot Pullen's family said:
"Elliot lived his life to the full and he was planning his upcoming 18th birthday celebrations and should have had an amazingly bright future ahead of him, a life of adventures and seeing the world. It has now been cut short by this awful tragedy, leaving behind a shattered family who will miss Elliot beyond words."
Daniel Hancock's loved ones said:
“We take some solace in the fact that Daniel lived every day to its fullest, surrounded by friends who became family. We are heartbroken that his last day to do this has come so early."
Ethan Goddard's family said in a statement:
“We couldn’t be more proud of the fine young man he was turning into. We will always love him and he will be missed by many, not just us."
Johnson is on bail and is due to appear before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 15 October.
